The chip sits under the surface of the card. Hold it against the top third of an iPhone or the back of an Android and the phone offers your link as a notification. Nothing is transmitted from their phone to yours, so there is no pairing, no Bluetooth, no permission prompt.
- iPhone XS and later read tags with the screen on — no settings to change.
- Older iPhones and any camera-equipped phone use the QR printed on the back.
- The receiver installs nothing. The link opens in their normal browser.
